2021年第三学期, a marquee became our temporary Dining Hall while essential maintenance work was carried out. We have been very happy to be able to hold Formal 晚餐s for College members in the marquee and in our new Pavilion. We look forward to welcoming guests back to St Hilda's Dining Hall in Michaelmas Term.
All students pay a compulsory catering credit each term, which is redeemed against food purchased in the Dining Hall. For those who want to cook their own food, there are also kitchens around College. For a quick snack, the Dining Hall is open between meals.
Term-Time Dining Hall Opening Hours
The compulsory catering credit is returned to you in the form of meal credits. Credits may be carried over from term to term but not to the following academic year. Catering credits are not refundable. During the Easter vacation and Trinity Term, students may sell or transfer unused credit to other St Hilda's students.
Compulsory catering credits are charged as follows (2021/22):
- 本科生住在现场- £150 /学期
- 本科生 living out in College owned properties - £150 /学期
- 毕业生 and undergraduates living out in privately owned properties - £50每学期
The College operates a cashless card system for all Dining Hall transactions. You will need your University card (Bod card) to pay for your food and drink in the Hall. Your Bod card acts like a debit card in College, although money must be credited to the card prior to use. You can add money to your card online via UPay. You can also use the UPay site to check your balance and usage history, 参见优惠和促销, and book 正式的大厅* and subject dinners.
*正式的大厅 is a served dinner in Hall which takes place once a week (Wednesdays) in term time.
